To mark the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring and the ADAC Eifelrennen, a limited edition Hanhart special edition commemorates the origins of the race track and the close connection between motorsport and mechanical timekeeping.

1927 marked the beginning of time travel
On June 18, 1927, the Nürburgring was opened with the ADAC Eifel Race for motorcycles. A day later, the automobile race followed, which Rudolf Caracciola won. This marked the beginning of a motorsport history that is still closely linked to the Eifel and the legendary race track to this day. In 2027, this first day of motorsport is exactly 100 years old – a milestone that the Nürburgring has already highlighted in previous years with its „Road to 100“.
The ADAC Nürburgring Classic also brings this story to life. Historical racing cars from different eras come together here and bring the development of motorsports back onto the track. The Hanhart ADAC Eifelrennen Anniversary Edition takes this idea further and combines the anniversary of the Nürburgring with the history of mechanical timekeeping.

Where every second writes history
Hanhart and motorsport share a long history. Since the 1920s, mechanical Hanhart stopwatches have been used to time races in motorsport – both on the track and in the surroundings of historic racing cars. This special edition deliberately takes up this tradition: a chronograph and a mechanical stopwatch have been designed as a set, thus recalling a time when racing and precise timekeeping were closely intertwined.
The set, limited to 100 copies, is named ADAC Eifelrennen Anniversary Edition. The chronograph from the RACEMASTER line takes elements from motorsport with a tachymeter scale, a white dial and red accents. It is complemented by a mechanical stopwatch that, with a supplied dashboard plate, can even be attached to the dashboard of a vehicle.

A milestone, two witnesses to history
The special edition thus represents two special chapters in the history of the Nürburgring: the Eifel race as a sporting debut in 1927 and the tradition of historic motorsport that still lives on today. It is this combination of past and present that also characterizes the ADAC Nürburgring Classic. On the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix course, race cars and vehicles from different eras are once again driven there where they belong – on the race track.
With the anniversary set, this period history is brought to life in a different form. The chronograph for the wrist and the mechanical stopwatch as a reminder of classic racing timekeeping tell a story about a century of the Nürburgring. 100 years after the first ADAC Eifel race, a historical moment from racing becomes a lasting memento.

100 years of the Nürburgring – as a timepiece
The ADAC Eifelrennen Anniversary Edition From Hanhart, a chronograph is combined with a mechanical stopwatch and commemorates 100 years of the Nürburgring and the ADAC Eifel race. The set is limited to 100 copies.
