General information

Why a Nürburgring Classic?

In 2017, the „Nürburgring Classic“ made its debut – on the occasion of the anniversary of „90 Years Nürburgring“. In subsequent years, the Nürburgring Classic will have a permanent place in the calendar of historical motorsport events at the Nürburgring. Most often, the date of mid-June is remembered as the official opening race of the traditional track in 1927. The motorsport event is designed as an annual recurring event.

The Nürburgring Classic is taking on new paths. Historical motorsport and the passion for classic cars shared by many owners and fans come together. Anyone who owns a classic car can participate and even start their own race without much effort in various races and events. The elegance of sportiness with historic vehicles is for everyone! The Nürburgring Classic is not a competition to existing vintage car meetings at the circuit, but rather a new, fresh format. Historical motorsport with its heroes, its charm, and the images of the „good old days“ will once again be accessible, tangible, and will evoke many emotions and memories.

The classic car hobby is not just a „men’s thing“. The Eifel attracts families for a family outing – the Nürburgring Classic attracts families for a time of family time… and not just for time travel and motor sports. Dealer areas and café islands provide various stops along the way, for breaks while touring the driver’s camp. There is a children’s area (4-12 years) at the „Nürburgring Classic Kids“ with activities and games for relaxing and lingering, and of course „Dad is also racing“, with the special races and straight-line runs – you can go to the starting lineups and be there in person. Boredom is out of the question here.

The historic motorsport meeting Nürburgring Classic is also family-friendly in terms of admission prices: children up to the age of 15 have free admission. More information about the entrance tickets...

Start-up drivers can find information from the series coordinator. For private drivers and amateur classic car drivers, the Track Masters GLPs or the Experience Nordschleife Start the runs. For any further questions or information, please send an email to: starter@nuerburgringclassic.de

All participating vehicles are insured by the organizer against damage caused by the vehicle to third parties. Participants are not insured against each other in the event of a collision between competitors. The usual rule is that the „normal“ insurance coverage of a road-approved vehicle does not apply to personal damage once a vehicle is moved on the race track. If you wish to take out special insurance regardless of this, there are special insurers in the racing industry such as „ClickVers“, which are very expensive and work with very high reserves. As mentioned at the beginning, each participant is otherwise liable for third-party damage through the organizer.

VIP tickets with access to the Nürburgring lounge can be booked directly on the Nürburgring website. With the VIP ticket, you can of course not only visit the lounge, but also attend our entire event.

Every year, some brand clubs of historic or special vehicle models have the opportunity to participate in the event. A dedicated area in the driver's camp and also track times on the GP course and Nordschleife are available upon request. If interested, please contact us.

With "Road to 100", we have defined the goal of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring in 2027 and thus also the 100th anniversary of the ADAC Eifel Race at the Nürburgring. The ADAC Eifel Race was the opening race of the great Eifel race.

There are various ways to make the visit to the Nürburgring Classic an unforgettable experience. For one thing, the GMF Paddock offers sponsors and companies the opportunity to book tickets for selected guests.

In addition, the Nürburgring offers tickets for its lounge. VIP tickets with access to the Nürburgring lounge can be booked directly on the Nürburgring website. With the VIP ticket, you can of course visit not only the lounge, but also our entire event.

The general parking area is managed by the Nürburgring GmbH. We offer a separate parking space (while available) in the Eifel village for vintage vehicles (at least 30 years old or H-registration plates). VIP and guest parking spaces are only available within the framework of the corresponding access passes.

The Nürburgring Classic has expanded its offering with the GMF Paddock Club – a closed area for motorsport and automotive enthusiasts as well as for companies looking for an exceptional environment for networking and brand visibility. With a limited number of tickets, a new catering concept, and a prime location in the driver’s camp, it creates an exclusive retreat and meeting space – right in the middle of things, rather than just being part of it.
