ADAC Nürburgring Classic
Road to 100
The journey to the great anniversary
2027. A century has passed since the engines roared for the first time through the Eifel landscape and the fog over the Nordschleife mingled with the smoke of the first racing cars.
Back then, in 1927, it was more than just a race. It was a vision, a venture – the beginning of a legend. The Nürburgring, born of asphalt and ambition, became the arena for courage, madness, and history.
The myth lives on
In two years, then 100 years later, we will also be there. Not only with engines, but with hearts full of awe. The ADAC Eifel Race 2027 will then be more than just a motorsport event – it is a journey through time. The mountains of the Eifel are still standing proudly and silently, witnesses to triumphs, tragedies, and countless stories written between the curves of the Nordschleife.
ADAC Eifelrennen – inextricably linked with the Nürburgring
Old heroes and new generations stand side by side. Historical vehicles meet modern racing technology – past and future race together through the green hell. Every meter of the track bears scars and victories, sweat and tears. In 2027, a new chapter is written – then with a 100-year echo of the past behind them and a look ahead. The scent of gasoline is in the air, mixed with the memory of Rudolf Caracciola, who won the first victory here in 1927.
Today, every driver honors his spirit – not only through speed, but through passion. The ADAC Eifel Race was not just a start. It is a heartbeat. 100 years of the Nürburgring. 100 years of the ADAC Eifel Race. And the legend continues.
Experience 100 years of motorsport
The history of the Nürburgring can be experienced over almost a century at the Nürburgring Classic.
From the first races on the new track to modern motorsport, the journey through time includes historical vehicles that bring their respective eras to life on the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix course.
1920 – 1930
The beginnings: 1920s and 1930s
The pre-war vehicles evoke the early years of the Nürburgring. In the historic driver’s camp from 1927 and during their demonstration drives, the time of the first racing events can be experienced again.
1950 – 1960
The era of Formula racing: 1950s and 1960s
The Formula Junior, Lurani Trophy and historic Formula racing cars represent the development of international Formula racing. Lightweight monoposts and characteristic racing cars of that time illustrate an era in which numerous racing careers began at the Nürburgring.
1970 – 1980
The golden age of touring cars: 1960s to 1980s
Touring cars and racing vehicles from the Historic Championships as well as the Golden Era of touring cars bring back the great era of production-based racing cars. Vehicles from different championships and decades evoke an era when touring car racing was one of the crowd-pullers at the Nürburgring.
1990 – 2010
From the 1990s to today
The later decades are also part of the time travel. Historical Formula cars, touring cars and sports cars meet modern racing technology and show how vehicles and racing have evolved over time. This history is not only displayed on the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix course, but actually driven as well.
Thus, the ADAC Nürburgring Classic connects the beginnings of the year 1927 with today's motorsport – as Road to 100 on the way to the great anniversary of „100 Years Nürburgring“ in 2027.
