The Lurani Trophy will also bring the golden era of Formula Junior back to the Nürburgring in 2026. From June 12 to 14, original race cars from the years 1958 to 1963 will take to the starting line as part of the Nürburgring Classic – the vehicles with which greats such as Jim Clark, Jochen Rindt and John Surtees began their careers. Authentically, technically diverse and internationally represented, the series remains to this day one of the most important categories in historic Formula racing.

Three sessions full of Rennaction this weekend
Whether front-engine designs, filigree tubular frame construction or early monocoque chassis – hardly any racing series illustrates the technical evolution of Formula racing more vividly than Formula Junior. The vehicles are exemplary of a time when innovation, lightweight construction and driving ability made the difference – and still provide thrilling, close racing at the highest level today.
The Lurani Trophy is thus much more than just a historical race: it is a living story of the young talent of international motorsport – and a real highlight of the Nürburgring Classic 2026.
