The Race Event

In the new year, the Nürburgring Classic starts anew! After two years with only track days, but still with the chance for teams and starters to indulge in historic motorsport, the Nürburgring Classic 2022 will again start in the usual format.

Back in the familiar format

Three days of "Race Event" full of action, races, practice and qualifying sessions, special runs and plenty of original paddock atmosphere will then once again attract visitors to one of the most famous race tracks in the world.

With more than 22 races and almost 800 starters, the Nürburgring Classic will offer high-quality starting fields, rare vehicles, racing excitement, designed paddocks and "battles for meters and seconds" galore.

From classics to youngtimers

In addition to many thoroughbred racing series such as the Youngtimers, the "Battle of the Dwarfs" or the "Touring Car Classics" - all of which have now already confirmed their coming for 2022 - a large number of regularity runs / GLPs and experience races will once again bring classic car owners to the Eifel with a great variety of vehicles.

Getting to know the Nürburgring with your own classic car - even without racing experience - on the Grand Prix circuit and Nordschleife; improving your own ideal line lap after lap, starting in a good mood with like-minded people, talking shop and enjoying a lot of relaxed fun - that's what the Nürburgring Classic stands for.

"Nürburgring Classic" has always meant "being right in the middle!"

Many clubs use the race event for their annual meetings, but also for sporting competition in the GLPs or experience runs. With grid walks, colorful paddock action, open pits and dealer areas, the organizers offer a „touchable" Nürburgring for everyone.

An incomparable journey through time takes visitors, guests and participants back to legendary times at an incomparable race track. History comes alive.

The historic paddock comes alive again

From the earliest history of the Eifel circuit come the prewars, which should not be missing in large numbers at any Nürburgring Classic. In the old paddock in front of the tunnel into the Grand Prix paddock, the racing cars from the time of Caracciola and Birkin will have their home as always.

Extensive driving times on the Nordschleife and the elephant race on the Grand Prix circuit are on the agenda for these vehicles built between 1920 and 1949 - a small rally takes you through the morning Eifel into misty valleys on small roads on a true journey through time of the old heroes. In no other event at the Nürburgring you can see more pre-war cars. Here they are also moved very very sporty.
