Formula 1 takes off - top class at the Ring

They still exist: the gentleman drivers who still bravely drive F1 cars from the 80s and 90s on the world's racetracks. History becomes tangible when former vehicles of Formula 1 heroes such as Michael Schumacher, Jean Alesi, Eddie Cheever, Derek Warwick or Alain Prost take to the Grand Prix circuit at the Nürburgring.

 

Old racing heroes and their world famous names

The variety of brands is as extensive as that of the old racing heroes and their world-famous names: Formula 1 race cars of Marc Surer, Alex Caffi, Ivan Capelli or Gianno Morbidelli will also be present.

A group of starters organized by international drivers and owners will bring an unparalleled list of F1 race cars for the Nürburgring Classic on May 20-22, 2022.

The first nine cars have already been registered for the special runs "The Force F1 Legends" - means "Formula One Race Car Entrants" - here is a first list so much to the taste of the fans of historic Formula One:

  3. 1987 Minardi M186 - ex Adrian Campos & Luiz Perez Sala
  4. 1989 Dallara F189 - ex Alex Caffi
  5. 1987/88 Arrows A10 - ex Derek Warwick
  6. 1983 Arrows A6 - ex Marc Surer
  7. 1991 Ferrari 642 - ex Alain Prost & Jean Alesi
  8. 1991 Ferrari 643 - ex Alain Prost & Gianni Morbidelli
  9. 1992 Ferrari F92A - ex Jean Alesi & Ivan Capelli
  10. 2002 Jaguar R3 F1 - ex Eddie Irvine
  11. 1980 Ferrari 312 T5 – ex Gilles Villeneuve
  12. 1971 Ferrari 312 B2 – ex Jacky Ickx

...more registrations are expected, because the season is just starting and many cars are still in preparation. An update will follow.

 

Up close at the Gridwalk

Exciting: The Formula 1 starting grid, for example, will entice spectators on Saturday, May 21, 2022 with a gridwalk starting at 10.40 a.m. on the start-finish straight of the Grand Prix circuit.

Spectators can then be up close and personal between the teams and vehicles, just like in the old days, take gridgirl souvenir pictures and get a taste of real racing atmosphere.
