  • 1927 

    Official opening of the Nürburgring

    On June 18, 1927, the racetrack celebrated its racing premiere with the Eifel Race for motorcycles. Rudolf Caracciola was the first driver to win an automobile race - the Eifel Race.
  • 1934 

    The "Silver Arrow" myth is born

    According to legend, the Mercedes team had scraped the paint off their W25 racing car the night before the race in order to comply with the new weight limit of 750 kilograms. The following day, the factory team led by driver Manfred Brauchitsch won the race with its shiny silver Mercedes - the birth of the Silver Arrows.
  • 1951 

    The newly formed Formula 1 races at the Nürburgring

    The German Grand Prix was firmly established on the racing calendar - the beginning of a true motorsport euphoria in Germany.
  • 1984 

    Official opening of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit

    In 1984, the Grand Prix circuit, initially 4.542 km long, was opened as the second race track at the Nürburgring.
  • 2017 

    The Nürburgring celebrates its 90th anniversary

    The anniversary will take place with the Nürburgring Classic, a major historic motorsport meeting whose main race will be the "ADAC Eifelrennen" on June 18, 2017. Thus, history comes full circle to a venerable circle.
  • 2018 

    Sharpening profile as a "race event"

    With the new concept of the "Race Event", the historic motorsport meeting at the legendary race track is winning more and more new fans. Paddocks and paddock design invite you to look over the shoulder at the active drivers.
  • 2019 

    The Nürburgring Classic continues to grow

    With more than 25,000 visitors by now, the Nürburgring Classic is establishing itself as a place to go, not only for visitors with an affinity for racing. The event is an ideal place to travel back in time to the race track with entertainment and exciting areas for the whole family - some of them quite deliberately away from racing.
  • 2022

    The next edition of the Nürburgring Classic will take place from May, 24 - 26 2024

    After a successful premiere in 2017 and its continuation in previous years, the fresh format is taking off as a historic motorsport meeting. In 2024, there will again be more than 18 races and special runs. Advance ticket sales have begun. Registration options are open.
