Feuerwerk über dem Nürburgring

The "Nürburgring Classic" race event has once again attracted many visitors, fans and motorsport enthusiasts to the legendary Eifel circuit in 2019. In glorious summer weather, almost 25,000 visitors enjoyed the historic motorsport meeting and saw nearly 800 vehicles in 25 races and special runs.

Almost 25.000 visitors in 2019

During the fight for meters and seconds or during the accurate drives in the GLP module, during the Le Mans start at the elephant race of the pre-war racing cars and their intrepid pilots or even just strolling through the diverse and colorfully designed paddocks, a really pleasant time travel feeling came up.

This is how it must have looked in paddocks and at race tracks around the world until the 90s. Old race transporters here and there, a food court and tastefully designed dealer areas with a diverse range of products. Oldtimer and youngtimer, racing cars, bolides, show pieces and classics of tomorrow were on display.

Colorful hustle and bustle around the racing action

The large Ferris wheel at a central location attracted to the ride with a magnificent overview of the race track at the Mercedes Arena, which - unlike at the OGP - was driven completely as a sporting challenge.

A Genesis cover band rock concert and fireworks on the occasion of the Kremer racing team's anniversary of the "LeMans victory" rounded off the spectator program and also thrilled the active participants. For children there was the "Nürburgring Classic Kids" with Disney Cars bouncy castle & Co.

The entire family is welcome

The Nürburgring Classic was able to repeatedly underline its claim to be a particularly family-friendly motorsport event by the fact that a ticket to the interactive Nürburgring museum "ring°werk" is always included in the wallet-friendly admission price.

Beyond that in box 4 for four days long SIM racing was driven, what the simulators and computer hard disks gave away... Beat-the-Pro was just as much a topic as driving the Nordschleife in a race lasting several hours with the original participant vehicles, which were waiting next door in the pits for real use.

All "repeat offenders" and those newly interested should already make a note of the 2020 date from June 12 - 14.
