Since its foundation in 1996, Historic Monoposto Racing (HMR) has dedicated itself to the preservation of formula cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Under the HMR banner, races are organised on the most important racetracks in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Racing history lives on
Many of the biggest names in Formula 1, including Ayrton Senna, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Arie Luyendijk and Jan Lammers, have travelled this road. On their way to the top of the racing world, they raced in one or more classes organised under the HMR banner. After a successful career in karting, the next step was often Formula Vee, Formula Ford 1600 or Formula Ford 2000. Many of these historically significant cars have survived and are now competing successfully in the HMR. In this way, an important piece of racing history is kept alive.
A tribute to legendary formula cars of the past
All events are open to HMR members only. Competitors and drivers must register with HMR in advance. It is a national championship open to club members only. The HMR races are a great pleasure not only for the participants but also for the fans. Exciting races at a high level make for a spectacular experience that is ideal for promoting products and companies that want to offer their customers something special.
