Historic motorsport meets pure passion! Inspired by the legendary "Golden Era Touring Cars", the one-make cup will kick off an exciting inaugural season as part of the Golden Era Classic Cup regulations. On 13-15 June 2025, the series for Porsche racing cars will be a guest at the Nürburgring Classic.
Three heavyweights of historic motorsport join forces
The official authorisation to use the historic regulations marks the start of a pioneering cooperation: BG Sportpromotion (Red Bull Ring Classics, among others), KES Race & Events GmbH (Youngtimer Trophy/CTT, among others) and Tourenwagen Classics GmbH (Golden Era and DRM Revival) are pooling their expertise. Their aim: to create a unique one-make cup for historic Porsche racing cars. No wonder that well-known names from the scene are immediately on board.
Jochen Mass - a motorsport legend as a supporter
When it comes to Porsche and historic motorsport, a legend is a must: Jochen Mass! The former Porsche works driver and crowd favourite has been an enthusiastic participant right from the start. He is looking forward to meeting up with old companions and writing new chapters in history. Participants and fans can soon look forward to seeing the Porsche Role Model, who lives in Germany and France. His spectacular outings in the Porsche 956 remain unforgotten and legendary.
The framework conditions - everything from a single source
The organisers themselves are responsible for staging the Classic Cup - based on the Golden Era Classic Cup regulations. As organisers and promoters in personal union, they use the circuit regulations approved by the DMSB, which are officially ordered by Tourenwagen Classics GmbH for the pilot year. This creates a strong organiser community of experienced racing series operators and motorsport service providers.

A racing calendar with guaranteed excitement
Stefan Eckhardt, experienced managing director of KES Race & Events and organiser of renowned events such as the ADAC Nürburgring Classic and the Spa Historic Competition, is significantly involved in the implementation of the Classic Cup. Thanks to the close cooperation with BG Sportpromotion and Tourenwagen Classics, the Cup is firmly established in the programme of the respective events - without any application effort. A high-calibre racing calendar awaits in the very first year, which, apart from the grand finale at the Hockenheimring, is organised entirely by the organisers themselves. The first race will be the Red Bull Ring Classics in Spielberg from 25 to 27 April 2025.
Another golden era of motorsport is back - and with it a unique Classic Cup that will make the hearts of all Porsche fans beat faster!
